  • What is Kattutharai?
    Kattutharai is a Tamil-first classifieds app for Tamil Nadu farmers to list and discover livestock — cows, goats, buffalo, and more — locally. We’re a listing platform, similar to OLX or Quikr. We do not buy or sell livestock ourselves.
  • Is posting a listing free?
    Yes. Posting is always free. Our only revenue comes from optional boost plans that promote a listing for a fixed period — see the pricing page for details.
  • How do boost plans work?
    Boost plans (Basic, Popular, Premium) place your listing at the top of the feed for 3, 7, or 14 days. Payment is handled through Razorpay. Boost pricing starts at ₹49.
  • How do buyers and sellers make contact?
    Buyers open an in-app chat on the listing they’re interested in. From there, the two parties negotiate, decide on a meeting place in person, and complete the sale offline. Kattutharai never collects or holds payment for the animal.
  • How far can I see listings?
    By default you see listings within 25 km. You can expand the radius up to 500 km in steps if fewer listings are available nearby.
  • Is my phone number shown publicly?
    No. Your phone number is never displayed on listings. Contact happens through the in-app chat. You may opt in to allowing WhatsApp contact when creating a listing.
  • How do I report a fraudulent or fake listing?
    Use the report button on the listing inside the app, or email support@kattutharai.com with the listing ID. We review and take action within 48 hours.
  • What is the refund policy for boost payments?
    Boost payments are non-refundable once the boost has started running. If a boost failed to activate due to a technical issue, email support@kattutharai.com — we will refund or re-run the boost. See the full refund policy for details.
  • How do I delete my account or data?
    Email privacy@kattutharai.com from the phone number registered with your account. We process deletion requests under the DPDP Act and confirm within 15 days.
  • Which phones does the app work on?
    The app works on most low-end Android phones (Android 8+). The feed is offline-ready, so recently viewed listings stay available without internet. iOS support is coming.
